Mother! I saw those who have Beloved seen,
One must stay a night with those who with God have been,
Their recognition becomes a raft in this ocean of the world.
The speaker tells his mother that he has seen people who have truly felt the love of God. Spending time with such people can help you in life, like a boat helping you cross a river.
Verse 2
Khhahoris prepared early to depart,
Searching in the rocks, reduced to bones they are,
Giving much trouble to their bodies, they sought their goal.
True seekers of God wake up early and go on difficult journeys. They suffer a lot and become weak, but they don’t give up because they are looking for something greater—God.
Verse 3
Their faces are dry, on their feet are slippers old and torn,
They traversed that land, where even the knowing ones are lost,
There secretive ones, talk secret of that far off land.
These seekers live simply and wear old clothes. They walk through spiritual paths that are so difficult that even educated people get confused. But these true seekers talk quietly among themselves about deep spiritual truths.
Verse 4
Where not a trace of birds is seen, fire is lit,
Who save a group of ascetics can kindle it?
In a place so remote and silent that not even birds go there, spiritual light still burns. Only holy people who have left the world behind can light such a fire—only they can reach this deep level of truth.
Verse 5
Those who went to jungle were not misled, those on highway were way-laid,
Those who gave up both the worlds, were from ignorance saved.
Those who left the busy world (like going to the jungle) found the right path. But those who stayed in the world (on the highway) were fooled. The ones who gave up both this life and the next (heaven) found true knowledge.
Verse 6
True seekers still exist, known only to those who are for spiritual realms,
Having found them, they have built their nests close to them.
There are still true lovers of God in this world, but only people who are also spiritually awake can recognize them. Once they find them, they stay close to them and live in peace and wisdom.
✨ Simple Summary of the Poem's Message
This poem tells us about true seekers of God—people who leave comfort, suffer hardships, and give up everything just to find the truth and connect with the Divine. They live quietly, but their lives shine with deep wisdom. If we can find and learn from such people, they can guide us through the confusing world and help us find peace, love, and purpose.
